For anyone who is on the tip to give the renovation of his or her home, let us share the house below. A special house with a beautiful home interior full of nice ideas. Tom Givone is the lucky owner of this ‘Floating Farmhouse’, or ‘floating house’. He discovered this farm of more than two hundred years old in the heart of the Catskills. A town just outside the historic hamlet of Narrowsburg, NY. When it was still a sinking ship that was not occupied. Tom there saw the potential in it and was especially inspired and encouraged by the beautiful surroundings on the edge of a pristine stream, waterfall and lots of nature. It was a chore to get as it is now, the home interior but it is more than worth it all. Below is the beautiful result. Super nice right? And you can rent as a holiday home through homeaway.nl.

Home interior with mix of modern and old
The red line of home interior is the mix between modern and old. Tom felt it was important that the old-world charm of the farm remained unaffected. Old wooden beams, high wainscoting, restored wood-fired oven in the look and the old tiles that are still visible inside the house, are mixed with a polished concrete floor, rigid steel frames and super tight white plastered walls.
He has given preference to old top modern and sleek. For the furniture A baroque mirror, old sinks where the rust is still present and a 19 century wooden sink bath, rescued from an old house in New York are good examples of this.
The large kitchen with high sloping ceiling and wooden beams I find the most beautiful room of the farmhouse. In addition to the lovely atmosphere by the materials and equipment you have here in this kitchen a beautiful view of the countryside. The entire outer wall is in fact made of glass.
What do you think of the farmhouse and home interior of Tom? I love to hear it from you!
