Who is Sarah Van Peteghem?
I am 26 years old and was born in Antwerp (Belgium). I studied product design in Antwerp and Eindhoven and then moved to Berlin with my boyfriend. Now we would still live in Berlin city center, close to all shops, cafes and craft galleries.

What do you do for living?
Everything I do has to do with design. I work as a UX / UI designer in a company that makes software and hardware for DJs and producers. In my spare time I view design from a different angle and I am especially concerned with interior and writing my blog Coco Lapine, but also designing and making jewelery and posters for in our online shop.
How does your workday looks like?
Every morning I cycle to the other side of Berlin to work. When I get home at night I search for inspiring interiors for my blog, I draw new ideas for our shop and I make orders ready to do the next day. To the post
And your day of?
I often work in my free time to my blog and shop, but when I’m not doing that I’m going to prefer with my friend in the city. Berlin has so much to offer and even though we live here for almost three years, we still have not seen everything.
What does home interior means to you?
This might sound cliché, but I think it’s: “your house into a home” It is very important that your home exudes personality, just like your outfit does. I think it is very nice that when you live with someone, then your house also includes two personalities.
Hoe zou jij jouw interieur inrichting omschrijven?
If you could take one thing to your next home, what do you take?
The old coffee table from my grandmother that we painted blue. My grandmother has been deceased for a while and I like to have. Anything of her at home
Where do you get inspiration for your home interior?
From magazines, interior design blogs, Pinterest, furniture stores … actually a lot of things. Sometimes I can be inspired by an outfit, a material, or a combination of colors.
What is your favorite interiorshop?
I actually do not really have a favorite, but when I was at the store or at HAY Bolia langsga, I really mean the entire store to buy not empty. My two favorite Berlin shops are “Phase” and “Do you read me” are. These are two shops where you can find about interior design and many books and magazines (so not really a furniture shop, but I wanted to mention for the people who like to come to Berlin trip).
Your advice for the reader?
I’m setting up a home as a process. This process can take a long time when you get to know what you like and where you move a lot of things together and try what fits and what does not. I’m still in that process. Although we live in our apartment for three years, I still do not consider the installation finished.
