The Organic Chair is a design classic from Chalres Eames and Eero Saarinen. A comfortable small reading Chair, designed in 1940 and produced by Vitra. The design of the Organic Chair is characterized with a fabric seat with a hole in the handrail and the four nice round wooden legs. Perfect as baby table seat at the dinner table, but is also ideal as a single chair in the room.
The Organic Chair was first created as a contribution to the “Organic Design in Home Furnishings” MoMA League of New York. The particular design of the Chair at the time, however, was beyond the production techniques. Hence it was possible only after 1950 the Organic Chair into production in large numbers and to make it available to the general public.
