For a design competition in 2012, organized by the city in Muttenz Switzerland, the architects of Oppenheim Architecture + Design something very special design, the architects have given new life because a former farmhouse from 1743. The converted farmhouse operates today as an office for an architect and design agency.
Office interior
Many original features of the old farmhouse have been preserved. The nice thing is that the firm on the outside just looks like a super nice house. Made in new openings for creating natural sunlight, combined with a bright interior design and use of wood accents. The architects have also ensured that the different areas are connected seamlessly.
But not only the design looks super good. The office is also durable. The office is equipped with an energy-efficient construction standard, rooftop solar panels and renewable materials like reclaimed wood. Nice!
