Often enough, I encountered homes where live and work are combined. Beautiful homes with beautifully decorated offices, so you can be as it were. Home Today I want to show you a similar commuting home which just goes a step further. Veerle has Wenes namely her home in Antwerp, combined with her own art gallery, named Valerie Teardrop. The result is very special, but also super beautiful!

Old and new
The house is an old building from the 19th century. With the help of architect Bart Lens, Lens ° Ass Architects, Veerle has beautiful original features combined with modern sleek solutions, which has resulted in a striking contrast in the interior between old and new.
Despite the limited time, there is anyway a lot done. All windows have been replaced, and for example also added walls.
Baked bricks
What I find very special are the authentic baked bricks, which forms the floor in different rooms of the house. This floor gives the interior a raw industrial look. In the living room you see that it is a nice combination with the sleek white walls and gray painted ceiling, where the beams are still visible.
