This is the home of Louise and Julian. An apartment located on the top floor of an old apartment building in the Australian city of Melbourne. If you look at the photos, the apartment does not look natural old. With the help of architect Steven Whiting because they have completely renovated. To see the real difference you must first look at the before pictures. Magnificent!
Modern warm atmosphere
The architect has created an interior design, which is characterized by a lot of modern elements. Modern, but with a warm cozy atmosphere. Just as Louise and Julian had wished. They wanted to create an open space where the large living room is combined with the kitchen and dining room. Partly because of the high sloping ceiling, this has become a great space. You can see a tight light gray cast floor, while the walls are covered with modern sleek panels. But with the right features and accessories you will experience here a lot of warmth and coziness.
For example, the seating is a great warm rug. There is also a separate forum with a modern wood stove with logs.
Warm colors and designer furniture
There is also chose a color palette that supports the atmosphere. A calm mixture of black, white and gray, complemented by warm wood accents. These are reflected in the different design furniture and accessories. Some favorite pieces of mine are the round Mark Tuckey Tripod table with the popular Ray Eames DSW dining chairs, the above hanging pendant lamp Bell 95 Gervasoni and comfortable sofa from Cini Boeri.
