Where the most beautiful living rooms and bedrooms often come from Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Norway, are the nicest bathrooms I often encounter from Greece. Today I want to show you the bathroom of Villa Kalos, a magnificent villa on the beautiful Greek island of Ithaca, which is rented out as holiday accommodation.
Villa Kalos was once an old and dilapidated building. But it was discovered by Gerda Genis and Robbert Koene, two photographers from South Africa. In 2007 they decided to convert it into a luxury boutique villa. The building completely In two years they have done with lots of love and lots of help from local people.
Natural relaxing atmosphere
The beautiful original stone of the building have been preserved and completely restored. They are the main material of both the exterior and the interior of Villa Kalos. And even in the bathroom, these stones with a beautiful natural radiance. Especially with other natural materials such as concrete and wood, the stones form a beautiful combination.
The bathroom is one of the four bedrooms. The unlocked window and door, the bathroom really involved with the bedroom. In addition, both areas have the same Tadelakt floor and walls, concrete ceiling and the original bricks. These give the bathroom a certain natural, laid-back and relaxed atmosphere.
Modern conveniences
In addition to the wonderful atmosphere with the beautiful natural materials, the bathroom is of course also equipped with modern comforts. Think of a walk-in shower with large rain shower, separate toilet latches, double rectangular sinks and modern spot lighting in the ceiling.
