Today I want to be a super nice apartment to show to you. An apartment located in a former boys’ school, on the banks of the River Vecht, in the village of Loenen. It is a stately building with large windows and classic restored brick. The young residents of the apartment have asked interior designer Remy Meijers to create a design for the interior design. The result is truly magnificent.
Classic details
The beauty of such an old and elegant building, is that it is equipped with beautiful details. Like I said, you have to deal with large windows classic here, but also have high ceilings, ornate ornaments belonging to these details.
Mix of classic and modern
The popular Dutch interior architect has retained the stately character of the apartment, and combined with both modern and classic stately tight elements. All the walls are, for example equipped with tight stucco and are completely painted white, and lies throughout the interior a sleek modern light gray cast floor. The combination with, for example, the classic white interior, finished with the classic door handles, is super nice.
Also in the furniture you see a mix between modern and classic. The big bank, for instance, and the large dining table are modern, while the large bookcase is super stately. A beautiful black bespoke bookcase decorated with old books, new magazines and beautiful decoration accessories.
The interior you’ll find more of this beautiful decoration accessories super elegant and stylish. The beautiful stuffed deer heads fit perfectly with the style. And the black and white paintings and the large budhabeeld in the living room.
