Last year, Mark and Judy have the makeover won Velux. A sustainable home makeover gift worth 25,000 euros. After the birth of the baby of the bunch, they were forced to sleep in the attic. Insulation
Many people underestimate the importance of good insulation. Especially in a bedroom in the attic, where the summer temperature is high and in the winter is very cold right, good insulation is very important. This was also the first task of rebuilding, good insulation in the roof and walls.
Skylights for more light
Then it was the task of creating more light in the dark room. This they have been placed by means of two Velux daylight systems, on one side, and two large skylights on the other side. This bedroom was not only equipped with super much sunlight, Mark and Judy now have a beautiful view. Especially the sunset is breathtaking.
In addition to the insulation and roof windows, they also have a new closet, which offers a lot of storage space. Even the washing machine, which was formerly much noise, is now stored in the closet.
