Today we look inside the kitchen of Sophia Leander, a graphic designer and blogger who lives with her family in a super nice 20-century cottage near Edsbyn in Sweden. They bought the house in 2008, when it was still a ruin. With a low budget they have things up and carefully renovated. Below you can see how the kitchen has become.
Floor painting
The first thing I thought when I saw the kitchen ‘what a tough floor!’. They have the old wooden floor left in it, re-sanded and painted. Light as a base and with a slightly darker shade a diamond pattern is created. Daring, but it has unpacked here very nice.
Green wall
Another bold choice, the green walls. No mint green or moss green, but green grass! Then you have to have guts. Personally, I would never choose this, but the somehow fits here very well.
This striking elements Sophie has combined with simple white kitchen cabinets. Lots of kitchen cabinets, because storage facilities are very important for Sophie.
One of the nice elements in this kitchen is the solid bank, which is created between the kitchen cabinets by the window.
