Open loft furniture
The Interior design of the former school is actually a large room. Throughout the house you will find only two doors. The front and the back door to the lovely balcony. The rooms, the extent to which you can call the rooms are separated by walls. But the walls are not all the way to the ceiling. Ank there has deliberately chosen, because in this way the natural light through large windows throughout the home Interior design can flow.
The open kitchen is the center of the loft apartment. Around it you will find the bathroom, bedroom and living room with direct access to the balcony. Besides Ank has also created a corner for her workplace.
Atmospheric industrial furniture
For Ank is the atmosphere in its Interior design important than style. Her creative work is the perfect example of this. She has a nice industrial table posted by Henk Made and they used chairs from the flea market. Against the wall you see long shelves filled with all sorts of inspiration in the form of books, journals, photographs and other creative materials. Industrial furniture is softened by these organized ‘mess’.
Industrial kitchen with island
Her beautiful kitchen with cooking island is completely in the style of the industrial look. It has a frame of concrete that extends to the worksheet from the kitchen. In between you will find nice tight white cabinets. The lack of high kitchen cabinets make the kitchen very minimalist and stylish.
In the kitchen is a large dining table by Piet Hein Eek. Around it you will find a collection of chairs among other Saarinen and Charles EAMS.
Bathroom block with Moroccan tiles
The bathroom of Ank is the only room with real walls. From the bedroom you have direct access to the bathroom which incidentally is not closed off with a door. The outside of the bathroom is fully tiled with beautiful Moroccan tiles. In the inside of the bathroom you will find on the left the fixed wide basin and on the right the bath. The walls have holes, rendering you from the bath view on the rest of the house.
